Opened in 2007 , the quarter-acre Happy Tails Dog Park welcomes dogs of all sizes and offers separate sections for big and small canines . Each area contains spigot water bowls, benches and doggie bags. When entering and exiting the park, dogs must be kept on a leash, but they are free to roam off-leash once inside their deignated fenced-in section. Anothe park rule is that all dogs must have a current Ponce Inlet license. There is no onside parking. Names for this pet-friendly site were suggested by Ponce Inlet residents and voted on by city staff. Happy Tails won over "Bark Park" and "Salty Dog Sanctuary".
