This six-acre park is named for the pioneering African-American educator who once helped to establish it as beach for black people in segregated Florida. Open to everyone and known by some as a "surfer's paradise," Bethune Beach Park offers an ample range of recreational and programming facilities. It is also included in the Florida Black Heritage Trail.
