The 2.2-acre site, originally owned by former Union Army General Adelbert Ames, was purchased by the City of Ormond Beach in 1973. It sits along the Halifax River and offers a fishing pier, pavilion, picnic area, scenic walking path and restrooms. Also on the property is the Ames House, which has been used as the city attorney's office since 1999.
