This 12,000-acre Longleaf Pine Preserve, east of DeLand, exists because of cooperative efforts by Volusia County, the St. Johns Water Management District, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the City of Port Orange. Encompassing several natural communities, it has two marked trails; a six-mile loop starting at one of the preserve's two entrances and an eleven-mile path connecting the two entrances.

Facilities Include:

  • Limited parking spaces
  • Trail - walk/jog/cycle
  • Camping
  • Horseback riding

It is recommended that visitors bring water when on the trails.
