Smyrna Dunes is a 73-acre county-run site surrounded on three sides by the Indian River, Ponce Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. Featuring five ecosystems (ocean, river, dunes, scrub zone and saltwater marsh), this park offers something for all types, from the ecologist to the general public. To help preserve the natural habitat, two miles of elevated boardwalks have been erected.
