Palmer College Paint the Towne 5K

The Palmer College Paint The Towne 5k certified course runs through beautiful Historic Old Daytona.  This race is chipped timed by RaceSmith.   Awards are presented to Overall Male & Female, First Masters, Grandmasters & Senior Grandmasters and 3 deep in 16 age groups beginning with 10 & under up to 80 & over.  First place in each age group will also receive a Bonefish Gift Card, 2nd. place in each age group will receive a gift certificate to Spikes Sporting Goods and 3rd. place finishers will receive a gift certificate for one movie entry to Paragon Theaters at the Ocean Walk. Colorful long sleeve tech T's combined with stunning, unique awards will definitely be a smashing hit! Beautiful race bibs with the logo will be customized with runner’s name for all those pre-registered by October 10, 2016.  The morning's events include a Kids Fun Run. Get into the ballpark spirit by enjoying complimentary hotdogs, chips and beer!  All of this combined with sports massage, music by DJ Tim & Alice Neal, and food promises to be a morning of fun for the entire family at beautiful Jackie Robinson Ballpark, home of the Daytona Tortugas.

Can't make it to the race but you really want to participate? Sign up for the virtual 5k!  You'll receive a custom bib with race logo and your name, a finisher’s “paintbrush” award and a beautiful long sleeve technical shirt! Register by October 10 to have your name printed on the race bib. Shirts, bibs and finisher awards will be mailed to you by November 10.

Proceeds will benefit the Daytona Beachcombers Scholarship program which gives scholarship dollars to local high school runner's that have participated in running and/or track & field at their school. The Daytona Beachcombers Scholarship program awarded $8,000 in scholarships last year, and has awarded over $61,000 from Palmer College Paint The Towne 5k events in the past.

Spend a morning with friends, family or co-workers; promote good health, friendship, camaraderie and the thrill of participating together, supporting our local youths, and scoring points for the Daytona Running Series.  Palmer College Paint The Towne is the third race in the running series. Walkers & walking groups are welcome!
