Palm Bluff Trail Race and Ultra Marathon

Event Date(s)

Begins: May 5, 2019 7:00 am
Ends: May 5, 2019 2:00 pm

May 5, 2019 - 7:00 AM

Come join us for the 7th Annual Palm Bluff "Margaritas & Manure" Trail Race and Ultra. This race takes place along the beautiful trails in the Palm Bluff Conservation Area near Osteen Florida. The trails are a mixture of single and double track trails through mostly old growth forest and pine areas. There is one short section along power lines and some small sections of soft sand. The course follows two loop trails through the park. Aid stations will be available every 2 - 4 miles, and the longer distance races will do the loops multiple times. This event will be timed but will be a fun and low key just to get out and enjoy the trails. This is a great event for new and first time ultra runners. If you are planning on doing the Keys 100 this could be a great training run for you.

We will be hosting three different events on race day to offer something for everyone. The day will start with a 50K Ultra at 7:00AM followed by a 1/2 Marathon at 8:00AM and two waves of the 12K Race. The first wave of the 12K will be a competitive wave and the second wave will be a Fun Run and Walk.

Each participant will receive a custom commemorative glass with the race logo etched on it and a race t-shirt. We will have a new logo this year with new glasses. All participants will also receive finisher's medals.

You will be greeted at the finish line with a post race "Cinco De Mayo" themed party where you can enjoy having your glass filled with a celebratory margarita.

This race is a Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) event. Please help us keep the conservation area clean by bringing your own water bottles, hydration vests, or other hydration systems as needed. All aid stations will be well stocked with water, sports drinks, and an assortment of food and snacks.

The course does have a time limit this year of 8 hours for the 50K event. All runners will need to be off the course by 3:00 PM.

Please note that all race distances are approximate. This is a trail race and not a certified course. If you are worried about qualifying for Boston or get bent out of shape if your GPS doesn't exactly match the advertised distance then please don't sign up for this race. We are here for fun and to enjoy some great trails.
